POSITION: Senior Project Manager DEPT: Administration
TERM: Full-Time Rate of Pay: $43.26 to $48.08/hr.
REPORTS TO: Chief & Council CLOSE DATE: Open until filled.
Reporting to the Chief and Council, and the Director of Operations, the Senior Project Manager (SPM) will be
responsible for leading and implementing multiple projects at once. As the (SPM), your role will involve providing
consulting, being a subject matter expert, and maintaining relationships with SLFN Leadership. In addition, the
(SPM) will also be expected to provide day-to-day updates in the areas of project monitoring, scoping, delivery,
and budget management.
The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager will include, but are not limited to, the
Strategic Planning and Operational Management
▪ Lead the project lifecycle from initiation to closure while adhering to all Project detailed plans.
▪ Lead multiple projects using Project Management methodology.
▪ Manage project team members.
▪ Report projects progress to Leadership on an as needed basis.
▪ Monitor and manage project’s hour allocations, scope, and schedule to ensure projects are delivered
on-time, on budget and with quality per Statement of Work (SOW) deliverables.
▪ Manage client weekly status meetings and all project communications.
▪ Facilitate client project steering committees and SLFN governance meetings as required.
▪ Manage scope, issues and mitigate risk to ensure budget compliance and successful execution.
▪ Facilitate change management; execute change control and impact practices for change requests.
▪ Manage budgets to meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, contributing to estimates,
analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
▪ Assist in the review and updating of Project SOW and new opportunity proposals, manage and build
working relationships with multiple stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
▪ Be a trusted advisor to the SLFN Leadership, understanding the client’s end-to-end business, their
challenges, goals, and areas of future growth.
▪ Be responsible to facilitate the SLFN methodology.
▪ Contribute to operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations, identify
trends, perform reviews, determine improvements and solutions, and implement action plans.
▪ Identify and troubleshoot all aspects of the projects.
▪ Identify training needs and evaluate team members’ competencies, provide mentorship to all project
managers and guidance to project team members as required, ensuring team members are
equipped and able to execute project tasks.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business and administration or related discipline or experience.
• 5 + years of experience preferable Workforce Management, building construction expertise.
• Enterprise Resource planning, Asset Management, or knowledge of integrated IT Solutions.
Advanced project management understanding of scope, resource, quality risk, and issue
• Proficiency in using Project Management tools.
• Thorough understanding of the software implementation lifecycle
▪ Strong experience in a consulting role
▪ Ability to interact with all levels of an organization and hands-on experience leading meetings.
▪ Ability to build teams and support complex projects.
▪ Advanced time management, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects
▪ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
▪ Support and motivate the project team to a successful project completion.
▪ Ability to build strong contractor relationships.
▪ Problem solving and negotiation skills when handling contractors’ problems and late timelines.
▪ Encourage teamwork and take steps to create an environment for effective collaboration.
▪ Consistently keep employees motivated resulting in effective project outcomes.
▪ Be responsible for setting effective SMART goals for the team Assets.
▪ Experience as Team Lead or Functional Lead.
▪ Project Management Certification.
▪ Experience writing Statements of Work and/or business proposals.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work as travel will be required.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
• Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Persons check and Child Abuse Registry check.
• Applicants must be bondable.
• Must be willing to submit to random drug testing.
