POSITION: VLT Cashier/ Floor Monitor DEPT: Gaming Centre #7
TERM: Part-Time/ Casual SALARY: $17.50 per hour
REPORTS TO: Gaming Manager CLOSE DATE: Open Until filled

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to VLT Site Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the daily cashier/ floor monitor functions of the
Gaming Centre facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Make change for customers ensuring accuracy.
• Balancing a float as shift change and/ or end of the day, ensuring that money is being distributed upon
proof of age.
• Ensure the coffee machine is aways ready for service.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Handle irate customers and understand when a situation requires a manager’s intervention.
• Monitor for prevention and address customer concerns in a professional manner.
• Redeem VLT pay slips for cash as required and ensure slips are validated and counted Balances float
and exchange coins and currency as required.
• Ensures, VLT machines are not tampered with or opened unnecessarily during shift.
• Ensure the VLT Lounge is kept tidy during all hours of operation.
• Floor Monitor is responsible for all personnel and Gaming Centre Buildings inside and out.
• Floor Monitor is responsible for securing and assisting the cash counts and closing procedures.
• Responsible for removing patrons who are under the influence or causing any undue disturbance within
the lounge area and notify the proper authorities of need be.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Must be Reliable and have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts especially weekends (we are open
seven days a week).
• Good decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be consistent, focused, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ability to assess and report loss prevention.
• Ability to lift or move up to 20 lbs., may be required.
• Must be trustworthy and bondable.
• Must possess excellent math skills.
• Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Persons check and Child Abuse Registry check.
• Must be willing to submit to random drug testing.
